COURSE OUTLINE

The Master’s course covers the key knowledge and skills required for engineering project and resource planning and execution. This includes contracts and costing, business analysis and decision making, the global management environment, human and financial resources, risk, and research methodology. You will also undertake an independent piece of research in the last year of your course.

The unique course structure will ensure you are well prepared to make your mark, not only in Australia, but worldwide, where efficient and competent planning and execution of large projects, particularly in infrastructure, is essential in ensuring the success of key global industries. Successful completion of a recognised 3 or 4 year engineering bachelor degree with credit average, awarded by an Australian university, or a recognised overseas equivalent.

Students are advised to pursue workplace readiness program for masters from Employability.life accredited by Federation University, Australia to avail of the scholarship based course credit exemption.

Academic IELTS with an overall band score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0 or equivalent.

Step 1: Workplace Readiness Program

Location: Partner Institution.

  • Course waiver of 2 units for 1st year of Masters.
  • Fee waiver for 2 units

Timeline:

  • Along with semester 7 or 8 of graduation.
  • After completing Semester 8 of graduation.

Step 2: Qualify for Two Years Master’s

Total units per year : 8 (2 units will be exempted from 1st year on completion of foundation program)

Course Fee: AUD 38,900 per year (Excluding living cost)

This course provides you with real experience in your chosen profession, through our Co-operative Model.

You will undertake a minimum of 60 days (450 hours) paid placement in industry – contributing directly to course credits. Federation University will arrange the placements for you through our network of industry partners.

Flexible placements options are available which include full time over one semester, part time over an extended period or in blocks embedded into your subjects. Federation University Co-op ensures that you graduate with employability skills and industry experience.
