COURSE OUTLINE
The course aims to prepare students to work as business professionals in a contemporary business environment appreciating the importance of transformation. This will be done by providing students with a comprehensive interdisciplinary foundation in core business areas as well as IT skills to ensure they are job ready, including Co-op career preparation and industry placement/s. Opportunities include majors in (i) Accounting and (ii) Management. The Accounting major will provide pathways to become Chartered Accountants and Certified Practising Accountants.

Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with final-year Accounting/Commerce and English.

Students are advised to pursue either Workplace Orientation Program or Workplace Gateway Program for an exemption to 2nd year, from Employability.life accredited by Federation University, Australia to avail off the course credit exemption.

Overall IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent.

First year

Workplace Gateway program: Diploma from Federation University (for an exemption to 2nd year)

This course provides you with real experience in your chosen profession, through our Co-operative Model.

You will undertake a minimum of 60 days (450 hours) paid placement in industry – contributing directly to course credits. Federation University will arrange the placements for you through our network of industry partners.

Flexible placements options are available which include full time over one semester, part time over an extended period or in blocks embedded into your subjects. Federation University Co-op ensures that you graduate with employability skills and industry experience.
