COURSE OUTLINE
Master of Forensic CyberSecurity course provides specialised knowledge and practical skills vital for the fast-growing field of cybersecurity.Develop specialised knowledge in network security, cyber forensics, and risk management, enabling them to detect threats, respond to incidents, and apply effective countermeasures in an evolving cyber landscape.
Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline, or in a non-IT discipline with either a significant IT component or with relevant IT industry experience. The applicant’s entire academic record and industry experience can be taken into consideration when assessing eligibility for the course.
Students are advised to pursue workplace readiness program for masters from Employability. life accredited by Federation University, Australia to avail off the scholarship based course credit exemption.
Academic IELTS with an overall band score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0 or equivalent.
Step 1: Workplace Readiness Program
Location: Partner Institution.
- Course waiver of 2 units for 1st year of Masters.
- Fee waiver for 2 units
Timeline:
- Along with semester 7 or 8 of graduation.
- After completing Semester 8 of graduation.

This course provides you with real experience in your chosen profession, through our Co-operative Model.
You will undertake a minimum of 60 days (450 hours) paid placement in industry – contributing directly to course credits. Federation University will arrange the placements for you through our network of industry partners.
Flexible placements options are available which include full time over one semester, part time over an extended period or in blocks embedded into your subjects. Federation University Co-op ensures that you graduate with employability skills and industry experience.

- Demonstrate a theory-based understanding of network security, cyber forensics, information warfare, applied cryptography, and information risk management.
- Co-Op structured (industry based) curriculum.
- Explain and analyse the principles of cyber threat detection, analytics, incident response, and security operation planning.

- Assess and communicate cyber security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
